Between Vercors and Provence, on the banks of the Drôme, lies the camping site "Les Chapelains", within walking distance of the medieval village of Saillans. We offer you 35 camping pitches as well as 5 mobile homes "Drôme chalets".

After a touristic adventure in South West France, we followed our hearts to our much loved "Vallee de la Drôme". When we heard that the Municipal Camping site of Saillans would be up for sale, we did all we could to acquire it. A long procedure, talks with the municipality , project presentations and negotiations, but ultimately (at last) : we became the owners of the camping site!

An unforgettable holiday, paddling or swimming in the river, relaxing on the banks in the sun or in the shadow. The camping site has direct access to the river. The children can amuse themselves (accompanied by their parents) without risk: sailing or floating along in rubber boats, rafts or canoes.In short, you can do all sorts of things or do nothing! We have detailed information at our disposal about the vicinity and of course we also happily inform people about our own experiences of exploring the area.

We serve a simple (takeaway) meal at our bar/snack bar, or you drink for example the local pride: Clairette de Die whilst relaxing on our terrace (patio).
